Glynnis Gordon-Eames is a fully qualified and registered Royal Academy of Dance Ballet teacher with over 30 years of dance teaching experience in Australia and internationally.Glynnis was principal of her own successful dance school in Johannesburg, South Africa for over 15 years and entered students for RAD Graded and Vocational Graded Examinations, Annual Performances and Eisteddfods achieving outstanding success. 

Glynnis attended the Johannesburg National School of Arts and graduated with a Distinction in Ballet. Glynnis trained and studied various genres of dance under the expert tutelage ofHilary Kaplan (RAD Examiner and Spanish Dance Society Examiner), the late Reina Berman (FRAD Examiner), Bernice Lloyd (RAD Ballet and Dance Performance Company), Bonita Marx (Classical Greek ISDT) and Sandra Rosenberg (Contemporary and Jazz SADTA, DANCECOR). Glynnis continued her dance training in London and attendednumerous seminars andprofessional development teaching courses at the RAD Headquarters in London. In 1999 Glynnis relocated to Australia with her husband and two daughters. Glynnis Ballet students have excelled, achieving honours and distinctions for their RAD Graded and Vocational Graded Examinations.They have been recipients of Royal Academy of Dance scholarships, bursaries and awards, and have had the privilege of entering the prestigious RAD Adeline Genée Silver Trophy Competition. 

Glynnis’ Ballet students have been accepted into the Australian Ballet School full-time and Interstate Programs, Queensland Ballet Associate Programs, Queensland Ballet Academy, Queensland Ballet Pre-Professional Program, Queensland Ballet Jette Parker Young Artist Program, Ballet Theatre Queensland, QUT Bachelor of Dance Performance, Sydney Dance Company Pre Professional Program, Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, PACT, The South African Ballet Theatre (SABT) Professional Company and Cape Town City Ballet Professional Company. 

Glynnis’ Choreographic works have won numerous awards and have been showcased at the Royal Academy’s “Posy of Dance” in South Africa. 

In 2005 Glynnis was appointed as a Tutor for the RAD’s internationally recognised Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (RAD CBTS) and as a Practical Teaching Supervisor for the RAD’s Diploma in Dance Teaching Studies (RAD DDTS) which is an exciting program working across a wide range of professional contexts. Over the years Glynnis has mentored many student teachers to obtain their RAD Registered Teacher Status (RADRTS) including professional dancers obtain their Professional Dancers Postgraduate Teaching Certificate (RAD PDPTC) 

Glynnis is a RAD Silver Swans Licensee fully qualified to teach the Royal Academy of Dance’s new Silver Swans programme based on research into dance practice for older learners.  

Glynnis is very passionate about teaching and mentoring, focusing on nurturing and encouraging each student to achieve their personal best.
